Big Sky/Moonlight Basin

If you’ve never been to Big Sky, you are missing out on one of the best ski experiences in the country. With the option of the Lone Peak Pass, allowing you to ski Big Sky and its next door neighbor Moonlight Basin, the combined total terrain is 5,512 acres. Within this terrain you have 220 mapped trails, glades, bowls, and 24 lifts. This combination makes for the largest in the U.S. and second only to Whistler in Canada.

Mountain Stats: Summit 11,166 feet and Base 7,500 feet. Vertical ft. 4350 Slope difficulty 17% beginner, 25% intermediate, 37% advance, 21% expert. Average winter daytime temp. 20 degrees F. Average annual snowfall 400 inches, Lift capacity 20,000 skiers per hour. Longest run 6 miles and 85 miles on three separate mountains.
Lift System: 1-15 passenger Tram, 1-gondola, 1-6 passenger lift, 8-high speed quads, and 10 double and triple lifts.
Lodging: 2-bedroom condos, full kitchens, living and dining areas, fireplace, laundry. ski-in and ski-out. (Arrowhead condos)
