Chamonix, France

Chamonix is known as the base camp for all mountain lovers - and many skiers consider Chamonix to be the ultimate ski experience. The host of the first-ever Winter Olympics in 1924, Chamonix is still the grand dame of Alpine skiing. The Aiguille du Midi cable-car can take you from 3,379 ft. to 12,604 ft. in just over 20 minutes. The region boasts 86 miles of marked trails, 66 lifts, and terrain consisting of Beginner 23%, Intermediate 31%, Advanced 33%, and Expert 13%.

Excursions for sightseeing and shopping will be arranged to Annecy, Montreux/Chillon Castle, Geneva, Lyon. An evening's entertainment may include visiting some of the cozy bars and a sleigh ride through the surrounding forests.

Lodging: We will be staying at The Hotel Alpina. The hotel offers old world charm, while providing the modern amenities that seasoned travelers expect. After a day on the slopes or sightseeing enjoy Fitness Center, Spa/Massage, Broadband Access, Hot Tub. Daily breakfast and dinner are included in the price.
